About Us
The Southern Orthopaedic Surgery Center of Fayetteville opened in 2007. Our Atlanta orthopaedic surgeons specialize in outpatient, same-day, surgical procedures. The center is Medicare-certified and accredited by the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care (AAAHC), which means the facility passed a rigorous series of nationally recognized standards. This accreditation underscores the commitment of our Atlanta orthopaedic surgeons and staff to provide the highest possible levels of safe and effective care to our patients.
The surgery center was established and is owned by eight physician members of Southern Orthopaedic Specialists LLC; these physician owners include: Dr Behr, Dr Davis, Dr Johnston, Dr Morgan, Dr Perdue, Dr Schmidt, Dr Symbas, and Dr Wilkes. Anesthesia services are provided by Piedmont Anesthesia Associates and the center operations are managed by the IntraHealth Group, a management services organization affiliated with Southern Orthopaedic Specialists.
This healthcare facility is staffed by highly competent and experienced registered nurses and technicians as well as Business Office professionals. Their job and ultimate priority is to ensure a positive experience for orthopaedic patients and their families who utilize our center.
