Susan S. Jordan, M.D.

Susan S. Jordan, M.D. provides orthopaedic care to patients in our Newnan and Fayetteville locations. She completed a Sports Medicine fellowship at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. Dr. Jordan’s specialties include sports medicine and arthroscopy with a special interest in the treatment of knee and shoulder problems.
Dr. Jordan is a native of Shaker Heights, Ohio, where she was a champion junior golfer at the national level. She graduated summa cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa from Duke University and went on to attend Harvard Medical School. Following graduation from HMS, Dr. Jordan remained in Boston and completed Harvard’s Combined Orthopaedic Residency Program, then moved to Pittsburgh for a fellowship in sports medicine at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. Upon completion of her fellowship year, she was offered a position as Assistant Professor and attending physician at University of Pittsburgh.
While in Pittsburgh, Dr. Jordan cared for Carnegie Mellon University football and Robert Morris University hockey and served as Assistant Team Physician to the Pittsburgh Penguins for three years, including their Stanley Cup-winning year of 2009. She enjoys caring for athletes at all levels and ages. Susie and her husband Chuck have two young children. She enjoys spending time with her family, running, and playing golf. She is fluent in Spanish.
