Peter J. Symbas, M.D.

Dr. Symbas is an Atlanta native who graduated from The Westminster Schools and was captain of his nationally ranked collegiate soccer team. He received his undergraduate and medical degrees from Emory University and completed his orthopaedic residency at The Emory School of Medicine. Dr. Symbas completed a fellowship in sports medicine and arthroscopy at The Hughston Clinic in Columbus, Georgia, where he focused on the treatment of recreational, high school, collegiate, and professional athletes.
Dr. Symbas is board certified with the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgeons and is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgery. He is the consulting team physician for Stockbridge High School and Pace Academy and also serves as Assistant Medical Director for the LPGA Chick-fil-A Charity Golf Championship. His specialties include sports medicine, surgery of the knee and shoulder, arthroscopic surgery, and total knee arthroplasty.
Dr. Symbas and his wife, Anne, have two daughters. He enjoys soccer, skiing, golf, running, and spending time with his family.
