Todd A. Schmidt, M.D.

Dr. Schmidt is a native of Minnesota and earned his medical degree at the University of Minnesota. After completing his orthopaedic residency at the Medical College of Wisconsin, he did post graduate fellowships in sports medicine at The Hughston Clinic in Columbus, Georgia, and in shoulder disorders from the University of Western Ontario in Canada.
Dr. Schmidt is certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgeons and is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine, the Southern Medical and Orthopaedic Associations, and the Hawkins Shoulder Society. Dr. Schmidt is a physician for the USA Olympic Sports Medicine Association and is the Medical Director for the Chick-fil-A Bowl, and has been an associate team physician for the Atlanta Falcons and the Medical Director for the LPGA Chick-fil-A Championship. He is also a consulting team physician for Lovejoy High School and Eagles Landing Christian Academy.
His specialties include sports medicine, shoulder disorders, arthritic joint reconstruction, and fracture care.
Dr. Schmidt and his wife, Lynna, have two daughters. During his free time he enjoys skiing, golf, reading, theater, travel, and spending time with his family.
