Physical Therapy
The commitment of Southern Orthopaedic Specialists Physical Therapy is to help our patients recover from injury and reach their optimal health and performance through the most current rehabilitation methods available. Our goal is not only to treat the injuries but also to educate our patients, allowing them to engage and take responsibility for their own treatment and care.
Orthopaedic Physical Therapy is a health care profession based in the science of motion. Patients who have suffered injury or disease affecting the muscles, bones, ligaments, and/or tendons will benefit most from evaluation and treatment by a Physical Therapist who specializes in the field of Orthopaedics. The recommended treatment regimen may consist of any of the following:
- Joint mobilization
- Strength Training
- Hot/cold packs
- Electrical stimulation
Our staff of Physical Therapists and Athletic Trainers have over 25 years of experience, helping patients restore function and independence. A thorough evaluation is completed on each patient and a comprehensive individual treatment program is implemented. Working closely with the physicians, the therapists provide our patients with well rounded programs of rehabilitation, education, prevention, and fitness.
